Derby-headquartered Gardner Aerospace, Europe’s largest independent manufacturer of aerospace detailed parts and sub-assemblies, has won the national Business Growth Award at the EEF Future Manufacturing Awards.
The award recognises
Gardner for having achieved the most significant growth through actively managed and c
onsistently delivered growth strategies.
As a group, Gardner is focused on the continuous improvement of its operations through the implementation of lean manufacturing, investing in new technology, upgrading its facilities and entering new geographic and product markets. The recent expansion of operations in Poland and India reinforces Gardner’s position as a leading consolidator in the highly fragmented details parts sector, bringing much needed scale, financial strength and capacity to the industry.
Indy Rattu, Deputy Chief Operating Officer at Gardner Aerospace, says: “We are delighted to have won the national award after qualifying in the regional rounds last year. Our successful growth strategy is built upon listening to our customers, making long-term investments in the Group and our extremely hard-working team. This award is well-deserved recognition for them and their dedication to Gardner Aerospace.”
