Gardner Aerospace, one of Europe’s largest independent suppliers of aerospace detailed parts and sub-assemblies is delighted to announce a Joint Venture with Pranita Engineering Solutions Private Limited (“Pranita”) of Bangalore, India, as a result of acquiring a major share in the company. The remaining shares continue to be owned by the Pranita senior management team who have built Pranita into a business which Gardner is proud to welcome to its rapidly expanding international family.
Pranita, incorporated in 1998, has been making aerospace components for HAL and NAL since 2000 and obtained international accreditations such as Airbus UK approval as a result of the association it first formed with Gardner in 2008.
Dave Hughes, Director of Strategic Sourcing for Gardner, said “Pranita soon became a very reliable and responsive supplier with the right attitude and approach so when Gardner determined that it wanted to own its own manufacturing operation in India they were obvious partners”.
As a result of making three previous acquisitions in the last two years and investing considerably in new and expanded operations in Poland and the UK, Gardner is fast becoming recognised as one of the leading players in the consolidation of the highly fragmented aerospace components manufacturing sector. Gardner’s fundamental growth strategy puts considerable emphasis on the significant expansion of operations in emerging economies and it now employs over 300 staff in Poland and India.
Speaking from Gardner’s brand new HQ facility in Derby, Phil Lewis, CEO of Gardner said “Pranita provides us with the perfect foundation for creating a sizable aerospace components manufacturing operation in India. We have considerable respect for what the management team at Pranita have created to date and they will play an important part in helping Gardner to substantially expand the operations in Bangalore and to add real value for all of Gardner’s stakeholders”
Srinivasa Rao. A, Managing Director of Pranita added “We are really pleased to have the strength, depth, experience, investment capability, and market access of Gardner behind us now. Becoming part of the Gardner family will enable us to achieve our ambitious growth objectives and really puts Pranita on the global aerospace industry map”
